New Solar Panels
Many new installments of solar panels have been built in the U.S. due companies forming more resourceful and cheaper ways to build these costly but energy saving devices. Companies last year found new ways to make to build panels cheaper as well as being granted more funds to keep them growing in quantity. The picture above shows a larger scale installment in California just last year in 2011. The number of large-scale installations grew from 2 in 2009 to 28 in 2012. These panels take in light from the sun and generate it into electicity. If we keep finding better ways to install these, they will be coming to most states in the near future.

ReplyDeleteThis is a really good idea. It could save so much energy that the price is definitely worth it, especially since it will cut out many electricity costs. If they continue to make these solar panels more efficient for large companies to use and they make them cheaper to produce, then I believe that many companies will begin to use them and it will really help out the environment. I hope that this will actually happen so that many companies could save money and help the environment. Not only would save energy, but it would help out the economy, especially if many businesses start installing these solar panels for energy instead of relying on power plants.
ReplyDeleteHow awesome is this? What if we brought that to Clover? Starting even with our school? I wonder if we could do that. It's such a great way to use our resources only problem is what to do on the cloudy days? would we have electrcity as a back up plan? Even then it would still save a lot of money and energy! It's like those cartoons you see when they predict the future. As dbell6598 said large companies especially should consider this, it would save them money and the environment at the same time! I feel like sooner rather than later as the article says every state will have this and it's gonna be so great.
ReplyDeleteI think solar panels are such a good idea because if we keep using resources the way we do, we are soon going to run out of what we need and we need a stable back up plan. While solar panels work very well they are more expensive which is why a lot of people do not use them yet. Once they realize it is cheaper in the long run instead of just noticing the price right up front more people will use them. Also the long term affects on the environment will make it worth it to switch to solar panels so I think it is good that businesses are using them and setting a good example for the rest of the people.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of when I was in Washington a few years ago, they were actually using them to cook food for the homeless. It was a great idea and they were actually able to feed a large amount of people. Donna maybe we could use them for the greenhouse we are fixing up. Maybe if the school saw how well it worked we could set something up out towards the pond for an example to people that it could really work. I think solar panels are an awesome idea and could really fix a lot of problems we have. Plus, they look pretty awesome!
