Shanghai Air Pollution


The pollution in Shanghai has reached record levels. The air quality has pushed to the levels of 'evere', and 'hazardous', and is the highest level on the Air Quality Index Scale. In the Chinese newspaper, Shanghai Daily, reports that the air quality over Tuesday, May 3, and Wednesday, May 4 was the worst air quality to date.

TheAir Quality Index measures pollutants in the air, and on May 4, Shanghai's air quality was rated 500. Hazardous.

  1. Even though China is not near us, it still affects us and the air quality should be a priority. If the air quality is bad, people's health and future generations are at risk. As citizens on Earth, we must do what we can to protect our air quality and make smarter decisions when it comes to keeping the atmosphere clean.

  2. That is scary. If we can't control our air pollution better that this, our generations is going to have some serious problems in the near future.
