Extinction in Prehistoric Times Could Predict Future Extinction

With the amount of greenhouse gases, scientists believe that we could have a mass extinction in the oceans again. According to Professor Kennedy, by doubling the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere it is like hitting the Earth with a sledge hammer. They also believe that this problem is manageable if the research it and find more out about the problem. I think that it is very important to research this in order to prevent mass extinction.

  1. Wow, this is really eye opening because with today's environment carbon dioxide in our atmosphere is abundant. The mass extinction in oceans would eliminate an entire aquatic ecosystem and eliminate a food source for people. Researchers and scientists really need to study this further because this is a very life altering change that could really affect our environment. Ideas need to formulate on how people all over the world need to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide circulating within our atmosphere. With the help from nations all over the world this mass extinction can be stopped with the help of new ideas to reduce carbon dioxide and the assistance of Earth's population.
