Deforestation Threatens the Rainforest

Deforestation is perhaps the largest threat to rainforests.  Companies cut down large amounts of rainforest in order to make lumber for industries.  Many plants and animals in the rainforest biome are losing their homes because of the threat of deforestation.  One solution to this problem is to make land that is specifically for growing trees that will be used for companies and industries.  A barrier to this solution is that people will want to continue chopping down trees in the rainforest because some of the trees found there are more valuable.  I believe a solution like this could really work.  It is sad to me that animals and plants are losing their homes for really no reason at all, so I believe that we should work to put an end to deforestation in the rainforest.

  1. This is so sad and the image is devastating. I can't believe these things actually happen.

  2. I like your solution that companies should only get one area to cut down trees in. Maybe after they have cut down trees they should be forced to replant what they had cut down.
