Trafficked In Thailand

Too many tigers, birds, monkeys, and other wildlife animals are being trafficked in Thailand. They are being sold in markets after being taken from South America. These poor animals are drugged, smuggled on flights in suitcases, and shipped to be illegally marketed in many markets located in Asia.  Thailand has stepped up their game trying to stop the trafficking. It has helped greatly but not completely eliminated the problem. Another issue is that once the animals are rescued and sent to the government wildlife centers to be rehabilitated, they have no place to go after they are rehabilitated. So they have to live there for the rest of their life because they are unable to live back in the wild.
In my opinion, wildlife trafficking is a cruel and evil thing to do to cute, little, adorable animals, especially baby tigers. It hurts my heart that people actually do this. Some ways to stop wildlife trafficking is to increase awareness about the issue and all the harms and pains the animals go through. If people don’t know about it, how do we expect to get all the support needed? I believe anyone can help with this. Just making a video or slideshow about it could help majorly in the right places. Another solution is to help decrease the poverty levels in these countries. They do it because they need the money bad, but if money wasn’t an issue for them, there is a higher chance that less people would do it. I have no clue how to do that but I’m sure someone will figure it out soon. A solution to the animals with nowhere to go is to just stop them from having to go to rehabilitation centers in the first place. I know it is not as easy as it sounds, but that is one solution that has to start with solving the first issue.

  1. Wow it is terrible that people would do this to poor animals. It is even worse that if they are found and saved, that they will never be able to go home. These people are ruining the lives of these animals and even the ecosystem in which the animals live just for money. Hopefully people will step up in finding ways to find these animals before it is to late.
