China Pollution ‘Threatens Growth’

Chinas fast economic growth does mean that it’s a super power today, but it also came with a heavy cost on the environment. China now has one of the worlds worst pollution rate and forced china to lower its economic growth goal. It’s also the worlds leading CO2 emitter, and overtook the US in the biggest car market. A large number of industrial spills has contaminated a lot of the waterways. Their minister of the environment suggests they track green house emissions and use resources more wisely. I believe if China is to continue growing, like they want to, that they are going to have to cut back on the use of coal and figure out how to prevent future spills.
