An environmental group in Maine,
ENE, filed a complain against a federal energy regulators, FERC. Why? Because
they changed the rate of return from 11.14 to 8.7 roughly 2.44 less then
ratepyers expect back. Paying just high rates and getting so little back is
dispiriting ratepayers in Maine to use the new form of energy.
Change the rate back. Give the
ratepayers what they pay for and what the company told them they were going to
get. Or compromise on a rate that makes everybody exultant.
The FERC doesn’t want to compromise
and ignores the complaint. Which could turn into a prolonged court case.
I say why make a little problem
bigger than it should be, answer the complaint and make a new rate that both
the FERC and the ENE can be pleased with.
