Chemicals in your home: how harmful are they really?

America's Take Out Toxic and Fix FDA are campaigns that deal with toxic chemicals we deal with everyday. From the chemical  bisphenol A which is found in food containers and baby bottles.Another toxic chemical we are around every day is triclosan and this can be found in hand soaps. We are even exposed to flame retardants in household furniture and hormone disrupting phthalates in toys.To protect us from these harmful chemicals two programs known and Green Shield and Green Paws work to reform outdated laws and update scientific assessments, as well as reduce the use of toxic pesticides in homes to protect children and pets. These two programs aim to restrict the use of toxic chemicals associated with cancer, learning disabilities, and reproductive problems within the home. Even though you don't realize that toxic chemicals are in your home, they are a lot more common than you think. And to protect your health and the environment around you. you need to limit these chemicals as much as possible.
