An increase in the demand of snow leopard pelts and taxidermy has lead to much more poaching. Typically big cat poaching is centered around tigers for their bones, but it seems that it has become popular home decorating the have a stuffed snow leopard in your living room. The EIA is worried that snow leopards are not getting enough attention in comparison to tigers. While the loss of our tigers is extremely important, so is the loss of snow leopards. It is difficult to track the poaching though because the trading is done in secret. The few skins that the EIA has found recently is just a small amount compared to how many have really been lost.
