Drainage Ditches Can Help Clean Up Field Runoff

We've recently discovered something great which is drainage ditches can help clean up field runoff! The main reason for drainage ditches was just to get rid of excessive amounts of water from different areas and make it non hazardous zone and to help crops from being over flooded."Matt Moore conducted work in California and determined that vegetated drainage ditches helped mitigate pesticide runoff from tomato and alfalfa fields. As a result, USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) state office in California included vegetated agricultural drainage in their Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). " This is perfect and maybe now we can make more drainage ditches and be able to remove more pesticides. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2013/01/130104143613.htm
