Agent Orange half a centuary later

Agent Orange was used to kill off the jungles of Vietnam during the Vietnam War. It did that, but it also destroyed the fragile environment along with the ecosystem. Over 11 million gallons were dumped on farms and forests, in order to cripple the Vietcong war effort. It killed 20 percent of forest cover, 28 river basins, and the habitats of many animals. It crippled the economy too by destroying timber resources, and a lot of food resources. The only thing we can really do to restore the environment is to reforest it and even with intense reforestation the environments will take hundreds of years to restore it. http://warlegacies.org/Environment.htm
