Carbon Taxes Make Ireland Even Greener

In Dublin, Ireland the population has welcomed a new way to overcome their bad economy and increase their deficit with open arms. The government now charges homes and businesses for impacting the environment in a negative way.  Fossil fuels are now being taxed which increased prices almost immediately  for all gas, oil, and any fossil fuel based products. The trash is weighed and priced according to that weight. There is also a charge on all products that are not recycled. Cars that release more emissions have a higher registration fee compared to cars that have low emissions. This three-year tax has raised over $1.3 billion and is making Ireland greener than ever.

  1. They should try this in the United States. With the fines and taxes America can turn greener and maybe learn to not take nature for granted. In America many people need to take a step back from their rushed life's. I think its time for America to Tax people for the negative impacts they bring upon our environment. America it is time to take a step back and smell the roses.
