Scientist think they might have figured out the real reason the ice age ended. Studys have shown that 10,000-20,000 years ago the earths orbit might have changed causing a drastic climate change. The sun positioned directly in view of the northern hemisphere. Greenhouse gases also were included in on this as a result of the change in orbit. The CO2 levels gratually got higher making the temperatures get higher. The same is happening today but only becasue of our carbon footprint not natural causes. We need to cut down on our CO2 emissions. It is only going to get worse for us. Back 10,000 years ago it wasn't an issue it was a blessing. The earth warmed up. Its fascinating to see how the ice age ended so many years ago, and to see how similar the CO2 levels were to what ours are today.
That is interesting, I wonder how the scientists could tell that the earths position in space changes. It is amazing how much the climate has changed, and scary to think of how fast it could change again.
